What to Buy an Artist Who Already Has Everything
Artists are hard to buy for.
They have opinions about everything. Strong ones. And they probably already own the tools, the books, the prints they want.
What they don't have is something made by another artist that they can actually use.
A silk scarf made from an original painting is that thing. It's not decorative in the way a gift usually is. It goes on their body. It travels with them. Someone asks about it and they have something to say.
Artists respond to process. If you tell them this started as tea bags arranged on watercolor paper, they'll want to know more. That's a conversation, not just a compliment.
