Small or Oversized? How to Choose Your Teascarf Brooklyn Scarf

Every scarf in this collection begins the same way — with tea, time, and a piece of watercolor paper laid flat on a table in Brooklyn. The art comes first. The size shapes how you wear it.

We make two sizes. They share the same original designs, the same materials, the same hand. But they live very differently in the world. Here is how to choose.

The oversized scarf is generous by design — more than four times the silk of our small square.

Silk chiffon or silk-wool?

The silk chiffon is light and fluid — it moves with you, catches the light, and drapes with almost no weight at all. It is at its best in warmer months, or layered lightly in the cold.

The silk-wool is something different. Warmer, with more body and a subtle texture. It holds its shape when draped over a shoulder. It is the one you reach for in autumn without thinking about it.

Both show the same process, tea-printed original designs, made in Brooklyn, digitized and carefully transferred to silk.

If you are buying your first scarf, start with the small silk chiffon. If you already know you want to live in it, choose the oversized.

A note on the art

Each design in this collection was made using brewed tea as a pigment — a practice that became Teascarf Brooklyn. The small scarf gives you a focused piece of that work. The oversized scarf gives you the full composition, the way it was meant to be experienced.
