Why an Oversized Silk Scarf Is the Most Useful Thing You Can Wear in Summer
Share
A 52" silk chiffon scarf weighs almost nothing. You fold it into a bag and forget it's there until you need it.
Then you need it.
On the water, the breeze comes up fast. A scarf draped over your shoulders blocks it without trapping heat. Silk chiffon breathes — it doesn't hold warmth the way a jacket does. You stay comfortable without having to go inside.
In direct sun, the same thing. Draped over your head and shoulders, it covers skin without weight. Light passes through it but UV doesn't land on you the same way.
Neither of these is a fashion move. It's just a useful thing to have.
The fact that it's also a piece of original art is separate. You're not wearing it because it looks good — though it does. You're wearing it because it works.
That's a different reason to own a silk scarf than most people have.
